The Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for replenishing, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders including accurate verification, completion of paperwork and materials management. Warehouse Associates perform proper inventory maintenance activities using quality control steps and specified warehouse procedures. They also operate material handling equipment and maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
- Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
- Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
- Read and execute parts tickets and packaging instructions accurately while recognizing distinctions between products.
- Use scanner equipment to scan material into inventory and onto shipment.
- Utilize inventory processes, warehouse locations and bin layouts to complete tickets.
- Pull parts in a timely and efficient manner.
- As required, or directed, operate forklift to transfer finished product and secure product for shipment.
- Inspects forklift daily prior to operation and requests preventative maintenance as required.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner by following safety protocols; identify and correct safety concerns in the shipping/receiving area
- Keep assigned area clean and organized.
- Work as a member of a team
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous forklift operating experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills required.
- Ability to set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with dealing with a fast paced industry and deadlines.
- Must be a Team player who is enthusiastic and hard working with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment.
- Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong problem solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions:
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
- Must be able to lift varied weight.
- Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
- Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
