Job Description :
SUMMARY This position gathers and processes the products required for filling daily customer orders, ensuring accuracy at all times as well as packing products so they are received in good, useable condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Inspects pulled products from inventory to check accuracy against the picking ticket, and to determine categories of products (hazardous, refrigerated, etc.). Packs merchandise according to packing and shipping standards and procedures.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Read shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to guidelines.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for traffic.
  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading & loading trucks.
  • Open crates and other containers.
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience

  • Must be a team a team player . This person needs to enjoy working closely with other staff members and to be flexible, adaptive, and positive in his/her interactions.
  • Must work well under limited supervision.
  • Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptions.
  • Organizational skills and detailed oriented with a quality mindset.
  • Must be able to maintain professional boundaries & confidentiality.
  • Computer Proficiency (experience with shipping software, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams a plus).

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (HELPFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED)
  • Experience in warehouse and/or packing and shipping environments.
  • Warehousing or fulfillment experience
HOURS AND REPORTING
  • Reports directly to Shipping Supervisor.
  • Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
  • Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed.
