ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follow tasks and instructions provided by the manager. Prepare work orders and pickups for the day, including preparing the exact yardage of material. Deliver orders to customers or other company warehouses with safety and care in mind. Appropriately display and maintain all materials. Maintain stock samples. Appropriately dispose of materials. General maintenance of building and property. General custodial responsibilities. Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. Bundle and band material such as fodder or tobacco leaves, using banding machines. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: COMPETENCIES: Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently. Basis understanding on warehouse operations and safety procedures. Basic math skills. Good computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work will be performed inside and outside of the warehouse and store. Work will be performed off-site at customer location(s). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ergonomic factors: lifting and lowering heavy items, bending, reaching overhead, repetitive motions, pushing and pulling heavy loads. Climbing Ladders Must be able to lift 75 pounds without restrictions. TRAVEL REQUIRED: Travel will be required to customers\' home or other store locations using a company vehicle. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or Equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Forklift certification 1-2 years of experience in related field/work experience.
