Job Description :

Syndeo Staffing has an opening for a Warehouse / Logistics Associate. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse and the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks related to inventory management, shipping, receiving, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Inspection:
    • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
    • Inspect and record any damages or discrepancies.
    • Sort and appropriately store received items.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Order Picking and Packing:
    • Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking items from designated locations.
    • Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment.
    • Ensure proper labeling and documentation for outgoing packages.
  • Shipping:
    • Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange timely and cost-effective deliveries.
    • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs paperwork.
    • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Warehouse Organization:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
    • Implement and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Arrange stock strategically for efficient space utilization.
  • Equipment Operation:
    • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
    • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
    • Collaborate with logistics partners, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving logs.
    • Generate reports as needed for management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Physical demands including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.

Status:

  • Temp-to-hire (direct placement may be considered for the right candidate).

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6:30 am – 3:30 pm + OT as needed
