Job Description :

The Warehouse Associate will manage the warehouse operations and staff as well as participate in a variety of general warehouse activities including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Order Filling, Merchandise Handling, Packing and Processing, Fulfillment and Warehousing.

  • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
  • Loading and unloading materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, or trucks
  • Assisting with inventory cycle-counting
  • Negotiate tariffs/rates with shipper and LTL freight companies
  • Determines best price and method of shipment to meet customer deadlines
  • Prepares packing lists and shippers
  • Receives shipments - Inspects and verifies incoming shipments against purchase orders
  • Processes shipping damage claims.
  • Contacts transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders.
  • Handles customer pick-ups.
  • May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
  • Maintains internal record-keeping systems
  • Builds, assembles containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions
  • Picks up materials as needed
  • Knows safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials
  • Takes inventory, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves or shop floor. Ensures area is secure at all times.
  • Keep a safe & clean work environment: keeping shelves, pallet areas, floors, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and wipe down when and where necessary. Maintaining or advising when equipment needs special attention.
  • Ensures safety procedures are being followed
  • Conducts Quality Control before products are shipped
