Warehouse Operations Associate

Days: Mon-Fri: 5am-1:30pm or 2:30pm or 3:30pm (every Saturday)
Afternoons: 4pm- 12:30am or 1:30am or 2:30am
SUMMARY
A Warehouse Operations Associate, under the leadership of a designated Supervisor, will support the processes needed to satisfy new and current customer demands for products. An Associate will 1) receive and stock parts and accessories and/or 2) pick and ship parts and accessories in the Distribution Center depending on specific assignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Timely, consistent and predictable attendance.
- Safely drive various types of material handling equipment (for example, narrow aisle reach truck, fork lift, tugger, order picker) for extended periods of time.
- Work safely; comply with all safety rules, maintain a clean, neat, safe work area; use equipment and tools safely; and wear required personal protective equipment. Report incidents as soon as possible.
- Meet and exceed quality and productivity standards.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and job instructions.
- Perform various warehouse functions (for example, but not limited to unload, sort, stock, palletize, pick, pack, stage, replenish, load parts, cycle counts) throughout the shift using various types of material handling equipment.
- Use a radio frequency (RF) scanner to scan all parts and labels to ensure inventory is accurately tracked.
- Accurately count and label parts.
- Willing to cross train in other areas as needed
- Ensure that work is performed in the correct task group.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, TMS operating standards, and applicable federal and state laws.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited school required; plus zero to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend written and oral English instructions, short correspondence, standard operating procedures and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively discuss information in a one-on-one and small group situations to customers, business partners, and other employees of the organization.
Math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS*
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a current Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification on all equipment
