This position is specifically designed to provide employment opportunities to individuals who face barriers to employment. They are also responsible for equipment upkeep, and maintaining a clean, neat and safe work environment. The Warehouse Associate may also assist in the daily operations of bailers used for salvage textiles as well as aid in the day-to-day functions of the warehouse.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Material Handling and Processing:Operate machinery following safety protocolsUnload and inspect incoming shipments of goodsSort and store materials in designated locationsRelocate materials throughout the warehouse according to standard processes and proceduresMaintain organized storage areas and proper inventory placementLoad processed materials for shipment or deliverySafety and Compliance:Follow proper safety procedures and wear required PPE (Personal protective equipment)Maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulationsKeep work areas clean and organizedCommunicate safety concerns and observations to ensure workplace safetyComplete required safety documentation and reportsTeam Collaboration:Work collaboratively with team membersInteract effectively with warehouse staff and managersSupport other warehouse areas as needed (E-Commerce, Processing, etc.)Participate in team meetings and safety briefingsMay operate equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided)Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Goodwill values.Key Personal and Professional skills:Be TrustworthyDo the right thing even when no one is lookingFollow through on commitmentsHold self and others accountableLead by exampleLive a Culture of BelongingPartner with our communitiesCelebrate team successesContribute to a positive work environmentRespect the uniqueness of every individualUnleash PotentialTake initiative in problem-solvingParticipate in growth opportunitiesMaintain a positive attitude and willingness to learnEmbrace continuous learningEmbrace CollaborationAdapt to change positivelyContribute ideas for improvementWork as a unified teamQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
