  • Reports to: Facilities Coordinator
  • Pay Grade: Classified Schedule Grade E (starting pay $18.50-$20.95/hour)
  • Work Calendar: 235 days
  • Retirement: PSERS
  • Benefits: Options for State Health Insurance and other optional benefits
  • Pay Type: Hourly; Non-Exempt
  • Pay Frequency: Monthly
  • Evaluation Instrument: Professional
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Educational Level: High School diploma or GED required
  • Certification/License: Either have or be willing to attain upon employment a Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License with S, P, and air brake endorsement. Valid Class A, B, or C Driver's License.
  • Experience: None required; previous similar experience preferred
  • Physical Activities: Must be able to lift/move 80 lbs.; other routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities, including but not limited to operating hand trucks, dollies, and other material handling equipment
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Written and oral communication; demonstrated skills in delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains all paperwork/data entry pertaining to various transfers of products and materials throughout the school district to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Picks up, delivers and transfers furniture and equipment, surplus items, textbooks, and testing material throughout the school district following approved procedures to maintain the security and integrity of all property.
  • Performs in-house warehouse functions following approved procedures to ensure security and integrity are maintained for shipping, receiving and storage of property.
  • Utilizes inventory control and management systems and equipment for data entry and retrieval to track inventory received and delivered as needed.
  • Assists with the preparation and sale of District surplus property.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard free and environmentally sanitary warehouse.
  • Demonstrates ability to read and follow diagrams, floor plans, drawing, schematics and other instructional materials related to assembly, disassembly, handling and storage of products and materials.
  • Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  • Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and defensive manner, responsible for adhering to industry standards and Transportation Department preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
