Warehouse Associate - Wire Room - Shepherd Electric Supply : Job Details

Position Summary: The Wire Room - Cable Cutter plays a critical role in our company. You will join a team of experienced peers, while performing a variety of functions within our warehouse. The essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary based on business needs.Work shift and hours:

• Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Predictable work schedule to plan your life around: no weekends or nights for most roles.

Compensation Details:

• The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information:

• Steel toed boots required.

Essential Functions/Qualifications:

• Prior experience cutting wire strongly preferred
• Working knowledge running a Wemco or Reel-o-matic wire machine preferred
• Pull, check and pack orders for deliveries
• Outbound order picking and inbound receiving experience
• Cutting aluminum and copper wire to order accurately
• Inventory management and stock rotation experience required
• Pulling and loading Conduit Wire
• Merchandise return processing
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3-year warehousing experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push up to 100 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred
• A valid drivers license
• Ability to pass background check and drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
