Warehouse Associate/Worker/ General Laborer A warehouse associate/worker plays a crucial role in the smooth and efficient operation of a warehouse or distribution center. They are responsible for various tasks related to receiving, storing, inventorying, and shipping products or materials. The warehouse associate/worker works as part of a team and follows standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, inventory management, and overall warehouse organization. Responsibilities Receiving and Unloading:

• Receive incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy and condition.
• Unload and inspect deliveries, checking for damages, discrepancies, or missing items.
• Compare received products against purchase orders or packing lists and document any discrepancies.
• Sort and organize received items and prepare them for storage or further processing.

Inventory Management:

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare and label inventory for storage, ensuring proper identification and tracking.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Assist in the organization and optimization of warehouse storage systems.

Order Picking and Packing:

• Retrieve products or materials from storage areas based on pick lists or customer orders.
• Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities to ensure order completeness.
• Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate packaging materials and methods.
• Collaborate with shipping personnel to coordinate timely order fulfillment.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

• Conduct routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
• Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and team members to accomplish daily tasks and meet productivity goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to address inventory, order, or shipment-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment is beneficial.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing, and inventory management.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a warehouse setting.
