Warehouse Clerk - Cedar Rapids, IA
This is a full time, salaried non-exempt position.
Position Summary:
Under general supervision maintains warehouse. Unloading trucks, placing received materials into inventory, picks parts for production and maintenance and maintains accurate inventories.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand that accidents are preventable and that safety is everyone's responsibility.
Become familiar with the hazards in all work areas and know how to protect yourself.
Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.
Interact professionally, effectively, and courteously with ADM-CLM supervisors, employees, contractors, and visitors' site-wide, as well as other ADM locations.
Monitors receiving status and shortage discrepancy reports, and communicates required action.
Assists in assigning storage locations, and enters such information into the departmental database.
Takes inventories periodically and completes necessary reports and records.
Operates all material handling equipment such as scales, hand jacks, and equipment used for measuring and counting.
Return unneeded parts to inventory, and update the database accordingly.
Assist customers in identifying, locating, and obtaining needed parts, by searching the inventory database, or physically searching parts storage areas.
Stage parts as submitted by planners and/or supervisors.
Checks quantities, identification and condition of materials received, and enter such information into our database.
Receives shipments of hazardous chemicals, placing such in appropriate storage locations. Maintains responsibility for the pick-up and documentation of used chemicals.
Serve as primary point of contact for incoming parts, materials, chemicals, and ingredients from common carriers, vendors, UPS, etc.
Using carts, hand trucks, and forklifts, safely and carefully unload trucks carrying items ranging from small parcels to pipe, motors, and large machinery.
Ensure that any Direct Issue items are marked appropriately, and that any inventoried items issued from Receiving are properly charged to a Work Order.
Prepare Bills of Lading and other shipping documents using MSR's, UPS, Excel, and other forms & software.
Deliver all chemicals, lab supplies, and other items as requested by process
Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employees, maintains the work area in a neat and orderly manner, and participates actively in training
Reports to work in a condition to be able to perform all duties and practices proper personal hygiene.
May perform reasonably similar or related duties.
Education or Training Preferred
All ADM Safety Training
Familiar with all ADM equipment
High School diploma or Equivalent (required)
Valid Driver's License
Experience Preferred
Good attendance history
Excellent safety record and awareness
Good work record with our company
Previous plant experience
Previous inventory control experience
Previous parts experience

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
