Summary/Objective:

The Warehouse – Dunnage Specialist will be responsible for managing and organizing the use of dunnage materials (such as pallets, shells, dividers, and kegs) in the warehouse. This role ensures that all dunnage is properly organized, stored, and loaded for return to various suppliers.

Warehouse – Dunnage Specialist Responsibilities:

Oversee the inventory and storage of all dunnage materials such as pallets, shells, dividers, and kegs.Unload and organize returning dunnage from all local and cross dock facilities.Load full dunnage returns onto trailers to be shipped back to the supplier.Inspect dunnage materials for damage or wear, ensuring that only usable and safe materials are used.Collaborate with shipping and inventory teams to determine when and where to send full dunnage returns.Accurately track and document the inbound and outbound dunnage inventory levels.Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and efficient workflow.Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE while operating equipment or working in the warehouse environment.Keep the dunnage area clean, organized, and free from hazards to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools as required.

Qualifications

Warehouse – Dunnage Specialist Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License.High School Diploma or Equivalent.Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with a focus on material handling or inventory management, is preferred.Strong attention to detail to ensure proper handling and organization of dunnage materialsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and organization.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.Physical Demands

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 pounds.Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.Comfort working in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature variations, noise).Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
