The Warehouse Helper will be responsible for overall warehouse operations, including receiving incoming material, processing products, maintaining inventory, setting up machine stations, and packing outgoing material. This role is located in in Hauppauge, NY.(Industry: metals manufacturer of bar stock, tubes, rods)and will be fully on-site.Starting Pay: $20.50Schedule: 8:00AM- 5:00PM ( Flex for 7:30AM)Pay Schedule: Bi-WeeklyResponsibilitiesWarehouse Helper Responsibilites:Create and maintain a safe organized working environmentMaking and closing crates, and cutting stock material to length.Review incoming shipping documents and update inventoryReview outgoing shipping documents and package productInspect inventory and product orders for accuracyReport product discrepancies to managementAssist with the setup of material on machinesActively communicate with teammatesLoad and unload packages from trucksOperate forklifts to move materialOther Operations tasks as assignedWarehouse Helper Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to work under pressure in fast-paced environmentsAbility to prioritize multiple projects and deadlinesStrong attention to detail (critical skill)Ability to read, write, and solve basic math problemsAbility to read a tape measureAbility to use power tools to make wooden crates for shippingAbility to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and managementAbility to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessaryAbility to work flexible hours as required by the positionProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
