DescriptionWarehouseDepartment: Warehouse Labor Grade: 4 FLSA Type: Non-ExemptEEO Category: Production hourly workerGeneral Summary:The purpose of the warehouse position is to provide for the accurate and timely movement of materials in and out of the warehouse. Accountable for the accuracy of all transactions and will be responsible for the appearance of an assigned area. Ability and willingness to cross-train within a specific job function and other duties as assigned will be high expectations of this position. Responsibilities:
- Perform activities in a safe manner. Must always be on the lookout for safety issues for all associates.
- Unload/load trailers; read/understand packing slips, freight bills/damages, and customer returns.
- Process shipments of products; confirm pick lists and labels and coordinate shipments. Ensure all product is properly packaged and labeled prior to loading and shipping.
- Responsible for final audits and other duties as assigned.
- Able to be cross-trained in various areas of the warehouse as needed.
- Meet quality, efficiency, and other performance expectations.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employers, customers, and suppliers and be a team player.
- Uphold a strong desire to learn new and changing technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation and Skill Requirements:
- High School Education and/or GED preferred and/or combination of experience, training, and education.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse system and manual.
- Ability to use basic math functions, i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
- Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments.
- Understand the interface between materials management functions and other departments.
- Ability to organize and maintain order.
- Understand and use the FIFO inventory system.
- Ability to use scanner guns and other similar type of equipment.
- Must possess a Flambeau Inc. issued Forklift license.
Physical Demand:
- Continuously lifting or moving material of lightweight (up to 10 pounds).
- Frequently lifting or moving average weight material (between 25# to 60#).
- Occasionally lifting or moving heavy-weight material (over 60#).
- Ability to climb railcars, ladders, and steep stairs to perform service (height).
- Forklift activity includes the ability to climb on and off the forklift repeatedly throughout the shift. This activity may be moderate to extreme depending on the job function.
