Warehouse Logistics Manager
Reports to Director of Operations/COO
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Logistics Manager to join a fast-growing consumer products company. This key leadership position will oversee all aspects of in-house warehouse operations and third-party logistics providers. Will have complete responsibility for inventory management, and logistics, demand planning and forecasting (working with demand planners) while managing a diverse team of warehouse personnel, supervisors, and demand planners.
Direct Reports
- 5 Warehouse Operations Staff (Forklift Operators, Material Handlers)
- 2 Warehouse Supervisors managing 20 pick, pack, and pull team members
- 2 Remote Inventory Demand Planners
Responsible for
- Lead and develop a team of direct and indirect reports across warehouse operations
- Develop and maintain SOPs for all warehouse operations
- Direct inventory control processes and cycle counting programs
- Collaborate with demand planners to optimize inventory levels
- Implement inventory forecasting strategies to prevent stock outs and overstock situations
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate contracts
- Maintain accuracy of inventory records in ERP system
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs for all team members
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching/mentoring
- Ensure proper staffing levels and scheduling to meet operational demands
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiency
- Ensure quality control standards are met for all outbound shipments
- Generate and analyze operational reports and metrics
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
7+ years of progressive experience in warehouse and logistics management
2 + years of team management experience
Experience managing in a pick, pack, and pull environment for retail or direct to consumer
Proven experience with warehouse ERP systems
Strong understanding of inventory management and demand planning principles
Excellence in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Live in the Los Angeles area.
APICS, CSCP, or similar certification a plus
