**POSITION:** Warehouse Manager/ Box Truck Driver (DN1W9203)

**STATUS:** Non-Exempt Full-time

**BASIC PURPOSE**

The purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, assist with all transportation and set up needs for program and events, oversee custodial needs of the Corps, and oversee all warehouse volunteers and pre-programmers.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Oversee all warehouse operations including food pick-ups, deliveries, food box preparation and distribution, and Hope Harbor food support.

- Process all daily receivables to ensure proper rotation of all food supplies.

- Responsible for all paperwork relating to warehouse and food distribution including all gift in kind donations and stats.

- Oversee the upkeep, appearance, and cleanliness of the Lodi Corps facility.

- Oversee staff, volunteers, and pre-pre-programmers working in the warehouse, special event support, or janitorial work.

- Prepare order for materials relevant to kitchen, warehouse, and upkeep needs.

- Work closely with officers and staff as needed relating to needs associated with the warehouse.

- Set up and follow a periodic check system and maintenance for all Corps support vehicles and equipment.

- Daily secure all outside doors, windows, dumpsters and equipment, and turn off all lights and coolers as appropriate before leaving.

- Follow and implement all safety rules to ensure a safe working area.

- Coordinate and assist with all food drives.

- Oversee and assist with all kitchen and feeding needs at the Corps facility

- All other duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS**

- Must be able to give written and verbal instructions in English.

- Ability to use computer for daily & weekly reporting of donations received as well as being able to communicate through emails

- Have forklift driving experience (certification preferred)

- Have at least one year of warehouse experience.

- Have a sense of cleanliness, tidiness, and neatness.

- Have good supervision skills and be able to work closely and cooperatively with other staff members.

- Have ability to work with and serve a wide range of clients, volunteers, and beneficiaries.

- Have positive public relation skills.

- Must possess a high degree of initiative, ability to work with little oversight, and an effective team member.

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**

- Must pass The Salvation Army background check.

- Must possess a valid California Class C Driver License, and ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle, which includes, but is not limited to:

- Must be 21 years or older.

- Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.

- Possession of a valid California Class A or B Driver License with passenger endorsement is preferred, or ability to obtain within six months of hire, which includes, but is not limited to:

- Must pass DOT Pre-Employment and DOT Physical.

- Obtain a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the CA DMV and present upon interview.

- Authorize The Salvation Army to add name to the CA DMV Pull Notice Program.

- Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.

- Requires exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

- Ability to operate a wireless phone or radio.

- Ability to operate a motor vehicle

- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
