Kitchen exhaust hood and fire suppression company in Brooklyn is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our warehouse operations.The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work a standard schedule with occasional early start times and possess forklift operation certification .The Warehouse Operations Manager will ensure efficient warehouse processes, manage staff, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.Responsibilities: Leadership & Management:Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Ensure team adherence to company policies and safety regulations. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Warehouse Operations:Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Ensure accurate inventory management and control, including regular cycle counts and audits. Implement and maintain effective warehouse layout and space utilization.Safety & Compliance:Enforce all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and trainings. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. Utilize warehouse management systems and other technology to streamline operations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse performance.Communication:Communicate effectively with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Bilingual communication (English and Spanish) with staff, vendors, and stakeholders as needed.Forklift Operation:Operate forklifts safely and efficiently as needed to assist with warehouse operations. Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety standards and regulations.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Forklift certification and proven experience operating a forklift.Strong leadership and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning shifts as required.Proficiency in WMS (warehouse management software) and MS Office Suite.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
