Job Description :

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will manage a team of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, while also implementing best practices to enhance productivity and safety. Your expertise will help us maintain inventory accuracy, manage stock levels, and ensure timely order fulfillment. Collaborating with other departments, you will play a crucial role in streamlining logistics and improving overall operational workflows. Your excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail will contribute to minimizing costs and maximizing the warehouse's output. Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping of wire and cable products.
  • Ensure warehouse processes are optimized for accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
  • Maintain proper inventory control and management procedures to minimize stock discrepancies, optimize storage, and manage inventory flow.
  • Analyze operational processes and recommend improvements for efficiency.

Staff Supervision & Training:

  • Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, including warehouse associates.
  • Ensure team members are following company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure daily and weekly goals are met.
  • Inventory Control:
  • Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy.

Logistics & Shipping:

  • Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of wire and cable orders to customers, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Oversee the scheduling and transportation of outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Handle returns and damaged goods according to company policy.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols and enforcing safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding warehouse operations, including OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed

Equipment & Facility Management:

  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
  • Monitor warehouse cleanliness and organization, ensuring an efficient and productive working environment.
  • Coordinate activities of Maintenance technician and provide him/her with assistance when/where needed.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Document and report on any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or other issues affecting warehouse operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the wire, cable, or construction materials industry.
  • Proven experience with inventory management systems (WMS), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Experience managing and leading a team in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of wire and cable products, including types, specifications, and applications.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Forklift certification.
  • OSHA Safety Certification.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
