Warehouse OperationsWind Gap, PennsylvaniaThe Operations Optimization Manager is accountable for supervisors, analysts, and clerks in the areas of inventory control, quality, and continuous improvement across a network of CJ Logistics Distribution Centers. They spend the majority of time working with the operations teams to use continuous improvement tools and techniques to improve processes, reduce costs and meet production and quality goals.Responsibilities:Plan and Monitor Most Efficient and Effective Logistics Center(s)Collaborate with the General Manager to set overall operational capacity plan for logistics center – including production plans, staffing plans, stretch goals, schedules, and MHE allocationsAct as liaison with engineering; manage execution of zoning, layout, and pick-linesUtilize data and forecasts to identify opportunities for change; evaluate adherence to leading practicesParticipate in and support safety programs and safety committee activitiesManage Inventory Control, Quality and Operations EfficienciesEnsure compliance and improvement of all Inventory Control and Quality Management practices across the networkEstablish and manage food safety, sanitation, and regulatory programsManage the execution and communication of all audits, inspections, customer-specific requirements and policy deviationsEnsure the team is reinforcing compliance to quality practices through sustained adherence to management reviews, audits, documentation, and CAPAsSupport management reviews, quality continuous improvement, and quality planning as part of overall customer network goalsAnalyze and manage labor expense, including performance dataManage the Operations Optimization team across the networkManage supervisors, analysts, and clerks to ensure that they are delivering results for the customerConnect Operations Optimization team members to CJ Logistics and Customer's business objectives:Conduct regular team meetingsDevelop employees and hold them accountable for performanceDrive a Culture of Continuous ImprovementDrive continuous improvement culture to achieve company and customer business objectivesEvaluate Leading Practices for improvement, including network-wide recommendationsExecute appropriate visual management for metrics achievementManagement of the Continuous Improvement ProgramRequirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree5+ years of operations management experience with a focus on inventory controlBusiness acumen and analytical expertiseHighly developed skills in leadership, communication and cross functional teamworkUnderstanding of warehousing operations with experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environmentAbility to travel as necessaryFamiliarity with warehouse management systems (Red Prairie WMS is a plus)Experience managing team members remotelyExcellent problem-solving and influencing skillsAbility to engage with the workforce and leadership teams and create a positive environment and culture#J-18808-Ljbffr
