As a Warehouse Manager in Shipping & Receiving, your primary responsibilities are to optimize the movement and tracking of goods and products both internally and externally from the company's facilities to customers and other destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Execution and Tracking (Outbound & Inbound):
Coordinate and execute the scheduling, routing, and communication surrounding outbound shipments.
Implement processes to monitor shipments and provide visibility to stakeholders.
Resolve any transportation-related issues, such as delays, damages, or customs clearance problems.
Unload deliveries, check them kind/count/condition, document receipt and bring supplies to internal customers
Logistics Coordination:
Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, clinical, and R&D, to plan shipments and optimize logistics processes.
Identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Carrier Management:
Identify and select reliable carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
Monitor carrier performance and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Facilities and Equipment:
Coordinate facilities-related services including pest control, HVAC, electricians, water loop maintenance scheduling, new equipment set-up, pallet removal, recycling etc.
Assist with layout of the warehouse and setup of furniture/storage/event space
Operate and maintain forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and enforce health and safety regulations
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing transportation, trade, and customs.
Maintain records, documentation, and audit trails to meet legal and internal requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in materials management/handling and shipping/receiving.
Proven experience in outbound logistics, preferably in a similar industry or role.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
Familiarity with using an ERP system (SAP).
Effective communication skills. Especially with external service suppliers.
Forklift Certification required
