UNDERSTANDING
Responsible for overseeing the current DC Warehouse operation, warehousing assessment, collaborating with the Manager, Primary warehouse on overall operations and Request for Proposal (RFP) process, selection and recommendation of WMS to executive management. DC Leader and owner of implementation, maintenance, and optimization of a Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring smooth warehouse operations by managing system configurations, monitoring performance, providing user training, and troubleshooting issues to maximize efficiency within the warehouse environment; essentially acting as the Primary warehouse point of contact for all WMS related activities within Albanese Confectionery Group (ACG). Must have thorough knowledge of warehouse best practices, able to educate and mentor staff within 1.) Receiving and inspection; 2.) Material Handling and Put away; 3.) Slotting; 4.) Storage and Inventory Control; 5.) Picking and Packing; 6.) Load Consolidation and Shipping; 7.) Shipment Documentation; 8.) Labor scheduling and planning.
Work across an integrated fulfillment process, (customer service, warehousing, transportation, inventory) to translate strategies into a roadmap of specific, integrated initiatives across the supply chain. This includes being a collaborative partner for Perfect Order metrics; as defined in the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, a perfect order is when a product is delivered to a customer in the right quantity, condition, and time, with the correct documentation, and at the right cost. Majority full pallet picking and put-away, (some partials) which include scheduling labor and equipment and synchronizing with outbound transportation to ensure that the picked orders arrive at the appropriate time and ready for transport, utilizing a drop trailer program and customer routed freight. Picking too late can cause a missed pick-up window or carrier detention charges. If shipments are held up, it may also result in compliance penalties from the customer. Internal customer lead and support for demand planning (internal transfer, put aways), retail, logistics, manufacturing, procurement, customer service. Key leader in warehouse safety and accountability. Must ensure staff follows best-in-class picking procedures and understanding lot codes and First In First Out (FIFO), First Expired First Out (FEFO) processes.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
- Reports to the Director of Logistics, Carrier Management, Customer Service and Warehousing.
- Communicate regularly and have a strong relationship with team members in multiple departments.
- Communicates and meets periodically with other departmental leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing day-today labor and short-long-term labor planning.
- WMS system configurations, updates, and upgrades to the WMS.
- Monitoring system health and stability, identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Performing data integrity checks and ensuring accurate information within the system.
- Developing staff, cross-training program with user guides and training materials.
- Analyzing warehouse data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Implementing system enhancements and customizations to streamline workflows.
- Collaborating, lead warehouse supervisors to optimize picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Generating reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency.
- Identifying trends and patterns in data to inform decision-making.
- Leading WMS implementation projects, including system configuration, data migration, and user testing.
- Coordinating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Providing training to warehouse staff on WMS functionalities and warehouse (WERC) best practices.
- Addressing user queries and resolving system related problems.
- Cross-training collaboration with Manager, Primary Warehouse.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in warehouse management systems implementation within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with production teams, suppliers, internal customers.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate warehouse key performance indicators (KPI's).
- Understanding food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel & Power Point.
- Previous experience managing a team of employees and working in warehouse management, leadership role.
- Well versed in ERP and warehouse management system (WMS).
- (5) five-years business, supply chain, warehouse management experience preferred.
- Proven ability to train and support users on warehouse systems
- Analytical skills to interpret data and identify areas for improvement
- Experience in project management and system implementation
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree and in business or supply chain, warehouse management preferred.
