PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
- Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
- Manage budget and expenditures.
- Accurately oversee the receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of inventory sold to customers.
- Review and maintain KPI's to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory accuracy.
- Serve as the liaison between the Warehouse area and other departments, responding to all needs fairly and in the most productive manner.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures orders are correct and ready to be crated or shipped.
- Responsible for the management of the Warehouse Department at FM 529.
- Ensures warehouse is kept neat, orderly, and clean to mitigate safety hazards.
- Ensures products are shipped and/or received in the most cost-effective manner.
- Responsible for all shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse activities / processes.
- Develops and implements shipping & receiving procedures to maximize employee productivity.
- Briefs FM 529 Managers at staff meetings to include warehouse items of interest and departmental goals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 yrs of warehouse experience or combination of education & work experience required.
- Warehouse Manager or Supervisor experience preferred.
- Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Material handling experience.
- Must possess computer skills – Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Oracle experience required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must be willing & able to work any overtime as required.
- Limited travel will be required to other NOV locations on an as needed basis.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Communicate well with other employees.
- Ability to learn new software applications.
- Must be able to write & send emails to internal employees & external clients.
- Use company / personal cell to communicate with internal & external customers.
- Must wear all required PPE while working in the warehouse.
- Must adhere to facilities safety policies and attend all monthly safety training.
- Must attend all Human Resource directed training via classroom, or HUB Learning CBT.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Factory environment with large range in temperature changes.
- Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature since the shop floor is neither airconditioned nor heated.
- Exposed to moving machinery and parts while in the warehouse / shop floor.
- Exposed to loud noise while working within the warehouse.
- Ability to stand, walk, carry, bend/kneel, push/pull, reach, handle and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.
