WAREHOUSE MANAGER & QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST - OmI : Job Details

OMI is seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Manager & Quality Control Specialist with a background in mechanics or mechanical engineering. This position is crucial for ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of quality forincoming and outgoing parts.

The ideal candidate must have experience in managing warehouse operations, inspecting mechanical parts for quality, and managing inventory.

Responsabilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management, receiving, and shipping.
• Conduct quality control inspections on mechanical parts and components to ensure they meet company standards.
• Operate a forklift to move, organize, and load/unload materials within the warehouse.
• Manage stock levels, track inventory, and ensure the timely replenishment of materials.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, production) to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Prepare and maintain records of quality inspections and inventory logs.
• Train and supervise warehouse staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanic or Mechanical Engineer background (required).
• Prior experience in warehouse management or quality control.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification (required).
• Strong understanding of mechanical parts and quality inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with ERP systems for inventory management.
• Knowledge of industry standards for mechanical parts.
• Experience in the automotive or powertrain industry is a plus.
