Job Description :
ResponsibilitiesSAFETY
  • § Observe all current Duracell safety policies and procedures. Proactively identify unsafe conditions/behaviors and reports to area supervisor.
  • § Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required and when handling hazardous material.
  • § Conduct forklift checklist at the beginning of each shift and adhere to established forklift safe driving procedures.
2. HOUSEKEEPING
  • § Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work environment for assigned zone, having a place for everything and everything in its place.
3. FLOOR STOCK REPLENISHMENT / RECEIPT / LINE SERVICE
  • § Must be able to use a computer to access the AS400 system to order, issue and receive materials.
  • § Must be able to create bar codes for finished goods and cell aging
  • § Ability to enter data into AS400 system to ensure inventory and location accuracy.
  • § Utilize and maintain visual control Systems.
  • § Must be able to load materials from staging area with forklift to tugger carts, hand load material to tugger carts and use hand truck to ensure delivery to point of use.
  • § Insure AS400 system first in first out barcode issue transaction is completed where applicable.
  • § Insure all points of use and storage locations including work in process, finished goods, and scrap are identified and properly stored in designated locations.
  • § Take appropriate action to maintain material flow through assigned area of responsibility.
  • § Quality Checks - Must verify part numbers and skid quantity.
  • § Record, enter, and insure accuracy of traceability.
  • § Weigh and enter departmental scrap.
  • § Enter non-conformance tickets in AS/400 and attach barcodes to non conforming product
  • § Cross train to other jobs as required supporting manufacturing / warehouse operations
QualificationsJob Standards and Critical Skills
  • § Completes required safety/orientation training, i.e. - training, hearing conservation, lock out/tag out, hazard communication, JSA's, etc.
  • § Must possess peripheral vision and depth perception in order to be trained to operate forklift; must be able to operate forklift up to 90% of shift.
  • § All Material Handlers must be forklift licensed.
  • § Daily use of prescribed medication must be cleared through the medical department when operating a forklift.
  • § Basic interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with various department personnel.
  • § Physical stamina necessary to stand and walk up to 90 percent of work time depending upon work area
  • § Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for up to 50 percent of work time depending upon area.
  • § Must be able to operate a standard forklift and narrow aisle fork lift.
  • § Must possess peripheral vision and depth perception in order to be trained to operate a forklift to safely and correctly load and transport materials.
  • § Must possess the analytical ability to distinguish a wide variety of materials.
  • § Must be able to read, write, and have a basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • § Must possess analytical ability to use computer and all systems needed to perform all function of the job.
  • § Must be able to manually transfer propane tank at waist level as need to replace empty forklift tank
  • § Quality Checks - Must verify part numbers, skid quantity and location.
  • § Record and insure location accuracy.
