POLICY:

OPERATIONS SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION:

Operations Specialist will report to the Manager-in-Charge and will perform a variety of tasks related to all aspects of distribution and day-to-day operations.

Operations Specialists will be responsible for:

  • Customer order fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping)
  • Using equipment to locate, track, and verify products for distribution.
  • Supporting daily warehouse functions
  • Performing routine housekeeping and inventory control tasks
  • Daily environmental temperature monitoring tracking
  • Receiving and processing incoming shipments from vendors
  • Following SOP's to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agencies
  • EPCIS and shipping data transmission to authorized trading partners
  • Management and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Projects and/or other duties as assigned

In this role, he/she will have privileges to:

  • Access areas where prescription drugs and devices are held
  • Access essential business and inventory records as it relates to job function
  • Access environmental monitoring platform
  • Pick, pack, and ship product

REQUIREMENTS:

All Operations Specialists must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred*
  • Basic Computer Competency
  • Basic Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Must complete a drug screen with a negative result prior to handling prescription drug and devices
  • Must complete and pass a background check prior to start date
  • Ability to adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to stand for entire shift if needed, use hands and fingers or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Employees are regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic communications as they relate to business operations.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to solve simple math problems and analyze numbers as they relate to necessary job functions.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
