Job Description :

This position requires ability to facilitate and communicate the business workflow in a fast-paced distribution operation; ensures a safe and productive work environment. We are currently searching for a highly motivated Operations Manager at our Charlotte (NC) warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties

Overall control of plans, organizes, directs and controls all general operations within the warehouse.

Responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics.

Manages vendor work performance and relation

Daily communication with carriers to ensure loads stay on schedule.

Responsible for managing the WMS with up to date information.

Reports daily operational issue/topics to the HQ Maintains and improve the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Manages inventory control, shipping, and receiving to achieve high performance and low damage levels. Reports accuracy, timing and damage results vs. standards.

Responsible to create any report/countermeasure required by customer due to accident or damage of the customer's product.

Responsible for warehouse security and safety programs.

Responsible for handling special projects requested from HQ or the customer.

Maintain physical facility and ensure clean working environment.

Keeps correct equipment capacity for effective cost-efficient warehouse results.

Directs Maintenance and PM programs for lift truck fleet.

Incorporates and manages all Safety programs and reporting

Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.

Update/checking the daily/weekly/monthly product movement including the report to HQ

Manage the any return or damaged parts, with any related reports

Obligation to finalize the monthly sales report or number with the customer and supplier

Obligation to send the final sales report or number to HQ in NJ for invoicing to the customer.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Related field preferred
  • Proven success in maintaining quality, service, and client relationships in a high-paced setting.
  • Proven competencies in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with WMS, SAP Business One, inventory management
  • Flexible to work all hours and job stability of no more than 2 jobs in the past 5 years

Skill Requirements

Skill in interpersonal communication.

Skill in using a personal computer and associated software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Clamp-certified (Preferred).
