Job Location : Lafayette,LA, USA
Participate in the EMS to ensure meeting all regulatory compliance and pollution prevention
Receive and ship all trucks of catalyst, equipment, or supplies in a timely manner, utilizing fork lifts, hand trucks, pallet movers, and related warehouse equipment
Collect and identify incoming samples according to procedures, and deliver samples to Lab in a timely manner
Assure proper product labeling of materials received and shipped before shipment or storage by validating with the job order
Observe all safety policies in loading/unloading operations
The wearing of respirators is recommended whenever sweeping, transferring, and sampling, or any other time there is a dusty environment or possibility of exposure to Hazardous materials
Complete shipping & receiving tally sheets on shipments, entering transactions into SAP using equipment provided
Move products within warehouses and Plant, recording movements into SAP as directed
Repack or relabel products into new containers as directed, recording in SAP systems
Perform daily forklift inspection on unit assigned prior to use
Ability to perform Hazardous Waste weekly inspection, in absence of Warehouse Leadman, and assisting as directed
Ability to perform Production Verification position, in absence of assigned operator
Maintain appearance of both warehouses and related areas by sweeping, cleanup of spills, and proper storage, staging, and movement of materials in warehouse
Ability to handle all operations and related paperwork for shipments or receipts in the absence of Logistics Coordinator or other supervision, as they relate to off-hour shipments
Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Specifications(Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)Must be able to operate a 6000# forklift to load and unload trucks, move various materials and equipment, damage free, without endangering personnel, under various weather conditions
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to fulfill needs of the department, including overtime when required
Must be capable of performing physical inventory counts in all areas of the facility, which may include climbing steps, stairs, and ladders
Must be capable of completing and delivering accurate paperwork to other departments as needed to meet deadlines, and maintain records within own department
Must be physically capable of handling drums and bags of various sizes and weights, up to 55 gallons, both manually or with mechanical devices
Operate and maintain floor scrubber in Warehouse area if assigned.
