System Plast - Warehouse Picker/Packer Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Responsibilities: - Accurately pick /pack products based on order ticket
- Pull parcel or LTL orders using paperwork
- Package product securely and efficiently following specific instructions
- Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring all times are correctly labeled and documented
- Notify supervisor of anomalous parts or components
- Provide support for the cycle count program
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
- Participate in Kaizen events and seek to continuously improve work processes
- Cross-train in various areas of department, including receiving, packing and picking; to provide coverage as necessary
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Adhere to all safety and health standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Competencies: - Basic knowledge of warehouse functions
- Ability to count and verify items picked or packed
- Basic knowledge of computers and ability to use them for warehouse functions
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the structure and content of the English language to include the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Ability to follow directions uring devices to perform required assembly and inspection duties.
- Attention to detail: ability to spot small defects and potential problems in products.
Education and Experience Required: - High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in warehousing operations preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
