Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSummary:The Warehouse Production Manager / Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse production operations. This role requires a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams. The successful candidate will be a highly analytical and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning & Scheduling:
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
    • Monitor production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delays.
    • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Analyze existing warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement new processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Utilize lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to streamline workflows.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage warehouse improvement projects, such as equipment upgrades, layout changes, and new technology implementations.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Time Studies & Performance Analysis:
    • Conduct time studies to analyze labor productivity and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and safety.
    • Analyze performance data and generate reports for management.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing warehouse team.
    • Provide training and coaching to team members on new processes and procedures.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Quality Control:
    • Oversee quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards.
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct safety inspections and implement safety training programs.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
