Warehouse Project Manager

Our supply chain team is expanding and looking to add a Project Manager. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.
The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing project plans for warehouse layout, optimization, and expansion. Oversee the implementation of new warehouse systems and ensure projects align with safety, compliance, and operational standards. Other duties include:
Process Improvement:
- Analyze warehouse operations to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Implement lean methodologies to optimize inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives and enhance overall productivity.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Collaborate with warehouse managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Provide guidance to project teams, including cross-functional stakeholders in procurement, transportation, and IT.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence in project delivery.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks in warehousing projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor issues related to project scope, resources, and timelines, ensuring timely resolutions.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the warehouse team, clients, and senior leadership.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and challenges.
- Facilitate stakeholder feedback and integrate it into project planning.
Budget and Resource Allocation:
- Develop and manage project budgets for warehousing initiatives.
- Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and equipment.
- Track expenses and prepare financial reports related to warehousing projects.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all warehouse operations comply with regulatory and safety standards.
- Monitor the quality of project deliverables, conducting evaluations post-implementation.
To be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Certification in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in warehouse operations, logistics, or project management roles.
