Warehouse Receiver - Retail Rebel : Job Details

Job Type: Full-Time Job description: The warehouse/receiver is responsible for receiving stock and special-order material from a variety and ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted and stored in the warehouse or stocked on shelves as needed. Job Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently navigating the warehouse using a power pallet jack and/or forklift
• Perform daily forklift safety checks
• Assist in preparation for, and completion of inventory
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies
• Enter receipt of parts into data system
• Order parts and equipment
• Keep parts and warehouse orderly and clean
• Log maintenance records and inspections into data system
• Receives and stocks product from manufacturers and wholesalers
• Ensures accurate quantities of product were received, and compares appropriate paperwork, or what's displayed on hand-held scanner, and matching product numbers

Requirements

• A receiver should also have at least basic operations experience in a warehouse, especially in the shipping and receiving of merchandise or property.
• Good physical fitness.
• strong communication skills.
• ability to fill out paperwork accurately.
• Former forklift certification and use of pallet jack required.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Detail-oriented and possessing basic time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate store processes and pricing to customers
• Ability to stock and merchandise goods

Working Conditions:

• Prolonged standing and/or sitting for duration of shift
• Varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level
• Potential use of merchandise equipment such as box cutters, bin containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks
• Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including frequently lifting and moving merchandise up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to but not limited to 50 pounds
• Use of ladders
• Occasionally exposed to outside weather elements and conditions
• Repetitive stooping, lifting to 50lb, twisting
• Some evenings and weekends required
