The Rigging Technician II must prepare the equipment that is rented and return it to inventory at the designated location.

Your day will look like this:

  • Check the lists of equipment to prepare during the day of their section
  • In collaboration with the manager, coordinate the preparation of orders according to priorities
  • Prepare complex orders, scan them, and insert them into shipping boxes
  • The technician may be required to customize the equipment if required by the customer according to the order form:
  • Complete lists in R2 software
  • Change equipment settings
  • Program equipment according to standards and according to customer needs
  • Prepare the racks and interconnection of systems
  • Install computer software/program releases and updates
  • Make sure to provide all the accessories necessary for the operation of the equipment (ex: wiring, adapter, PSU, bracket, remote control, etc.)
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of their section
  • Report breakages and missing items to the manager
  • Track inventory of the departments equipment
  • Respond to questions and issues from technicians as well as route coordinators
  • Clean and visually inspect returned equipment
  • Upgrade items (e.g., painting, cleaning, etc.)
  • All other duties related to the position

Your profile:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an AV equipment workshop or on events
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, schematic reading, basic math skills, and a mechanical understanding of gearing
  • Knowledge of different Hoist manufacturers
  • Be able to lift loads
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Valid forklift license (an asset)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and ability to adapt to change

Work Requirements:

  • Time will be spent in a warehouse setting.
  • Time will be spent on event sites.
  • Environment may be fast paced, hot, cold, and stressful.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
