About the Position

D&S Automotive is currently seeking an individual to join our parts team. The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate will help in keeping the parts department organized and mange flow of incoming/outbound parts.

This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am - 5:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate will report to the Body Shop Parts Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive and mirror match parts to check for accuracy and quality
  • Work and communicate with estimators to determine which parts are required to repair vehicles
  • Work with vendors to locate and order parts in the most efficient manner
  • Removing cardboard and other garbage to the dumpster
  • Track returns and follow up with vendors on pending credits
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Bring scrap metal to scrapyard
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of Automotive parts knowledge required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
  • At least one year automotive parts experience preferred
  • Experience with parts ordering software such as Parts Trader, Parts Bridge, etc. a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds
  • Reaching above and below shoulder level
  • Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to inspect parts
  • Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
  • May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion
  • May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center
