Warehouse Shipping Clerk - Stanley Black & Decker : Job Details

The WSR is responsible for all warehouse/receiving/shipping transaction & material movement with orders, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES •Compiles data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into systems (such as SAP, WM, Ariba, ADS, and etc) to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records •File BOL and packing list into vendor file and help Accounts Payable resolve invoicing problems when needed •Collect BOL and packing list from material handler and verify the accuracy. •Contact trucking company to ship materials for outside process & to schedule delivery pick up •Compare identifying information and verify items of incoming and outgoing shipments against records •Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils to include identifying shipping information •Stamp, stencil, unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. •Routes items to departments. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. •Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. •Stock materials in correct warehouse rack/storage location & pull material from location to stage for material handler/tugger driver •Use SAP to research inventory status & locations •Other duties as assigned by leadership & 5S area as requested REQUIREMENTS Education Required: •HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Work Experience Required: •2 year previous work in shipping/receiving department •SAP input experience preferred Skills & Knowledge Required: •Ability to read blueprints •Ability to be forklift certified to move convey and/or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving •Ability to operate and use weigh scales •Ability to read, write and comprehend basic work instructions, short correspondence and memos •Mathematical aptitude and ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure •Capable of using common sense understanding to carry our detailed instructions including written and oral Physical Demands and Work Environment: •Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands •Required to lift and/or move 33 lbs regularly •Use of vision including peripheral, color, distance, depth perception and ability to adjust focus •Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, strong fumes and loud noises Occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures We Don't Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology Too.
