Summary: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for assigning work to warehouse employees, scheduling outbound orders with carriers, reviewing reports and working with warehouse leads, supervisors and other leaders to ensure that orders ship on time.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, 2 Saturday a month from 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $19 to $22 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $53,800 and $70,600 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
- Schedule outbound orders with various truckload carriers
- Coordinate daily equipment capacity needs with LTL carriers
- Direct traffic and assign loading dock doors in the warehouse/distribution center
- Assign workloads to warehouse employees
- Review daily reports to ensure that orders ship on time and any aging orders are resolved quickly
- Respond to inquiries from sales or other departments
- Resolve problems that arise and work through and/or escalate any complaints
- Control the warehouse activities including will calls, container loading activities and transfers
- Support MSI's safety policies in warehouse.
- Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following education and experience requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Two (2) plus years of warehouse experience.
- Previous shipping coordination experience (scheduling warehouse work, appointing carriers, problem solving, coordinating and planning)
- Ability to multi task and manage time effectively.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel
- Must be flexible to work on 2 Saturdays per month.
