Looking for Warehouse Sorter.Rock Island, IL 61201Benefits and weekly pay18.00 per hour130p to 10pObjective:The dock associate is responsible for physically unloading and loading trucks while maintaining a high level of organization during a specified shift to ensure freight is properly loaded and unloaded to facilitate on-time, error-free deliveries.Key Deliverables:1Has a positive attitude and provides courteous, friendly service to all internal team member and external customers, by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests.2Knowledge of warehouse layout to access products and warehouse contents in efficient and timely manner.3Loads and unload freight using suitable material – handling equipment safely and efficientlyUtilize RF scanner to allow package tracking to ensure on time, error free delivery.4Maintain accuracy when sorting out packages based on customer and delivery routes.5Safeguard cross dock operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols.6Ensures dock areas are clean and free of debris to prevent accidents and injuries.7Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local and internal laws, regulations, and policies.8Collaborate with other warehouse team members throughout dock to ensure continuously improving best practices and optimization of freight related arrangements.9Protects company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and proceduresIncluding, but not limited to, candidates, team members, customers, vendors, and proprietary company informationReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Competencies:1Superior verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels.2Detailed orientated.3Organization.4Team player. Work Environment:This job operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with unforgiving surfaces as well as hot and cold climates with a variety of noises and odors. Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:This is a full - time position, specific hours with vary based on the location, typically Monday through Saturday 32-40 hours per weekEvenings, overnights, and weekends are required based on location and needs of business.Travel:This position requires no travel.Required Education and Experience:1High school diploma or equivalent experience.2Proven successful experience as a dock/warehouse team member.
