Your Role
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for both domestic and international shipment processing, packaging, and palletizing of spare parts for both small parcel and LTL freight. The incumbent will be responsible to follow the processes as described by the job training and work instructions. You will report to Inventory Control Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Process all shipping activities, print bartender packaging labels, pick and package orders with quality checks, prepare shipping documentation and labeling, arrange pick-ups and deliveries, and track shipments as required.
- Scan all completed shipment documentation into electronic archive.
- Assist Inventory Team as needed with physical and system in-bound receipt processing verifying if stock, non-stock, and/or goods for inspection.
- Participate with team objectives to conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as scheduled to maintain a minimum of 99% inventory record accuracy.
- Maintain reorder point for pertinent consumables and supplies used.
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of stock inventory and supplies.
- Maintain Hilo Driver Certification/Test process.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of pertinent workflow and procedures.
- Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment used.
- Provide responsive and professional assistance to internal customers.
- Cooperate with other areas of the organization.
- Maintain work area clean, organized, and free from hazard.
- Other operation/service functions as assigned.
To succeed, you will need
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum two years of practical/relevant experience.
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong hands-on mechanical experience
- Strong work/personal ethics.
- DOT Material Hazmat Shipping certification and Spill response training a plus.
- Highly motivated to do a good job, committed to self-improvement and teamwork.
- Able to operate effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision.
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
- Must be able to lift and move parts, boxes, and other material regularly throughout the day, up to 50lbs.
