No Remote We are looking for a **Warehouse Supervisor** to join a very large liquids processing/packaging facility in Southeast Iowa.
If you enjoy leading in a fast-paced and high-energy manufacturing environment, then you will fit in well as the **Warehouse Supervisor** at this site. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for driving safety, quality, production, associate development, and continuous improvement activities in the facility.
**What You'll Do In This Role**
* Directly lead a team of 2 warehouse leads and 50 hourly forklift drivers across a three-shift operation.
* Plan, direct and oversee forklift operating teams responsible for the loading, unloading, hauling, and supplying functions of the warehouse operation supporting our liquid production lines and other departments in the plant.
* Provide daily schedules and direction; communicate targets and expectations for warehouse tasks. Encouraging flexibility and re-prioritizing own and team tasks when needed to support different functions of the plant.
* Establish associate work schedules, perform absence tracking, process and approve time off via Workday systems.
* Positively influence a culture of teamwork leading through others and engaging with associates on process improvements and eliminating roadblocks in day-to-day activities.
* Develop associates, interviews and recommends hiring of applicants, evaluates associate work performance, counsels associates and/or implements disciplinary action. Administer forklift training program and annual re-training sessions.
* Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to analyze and improve upon key warehouse metrics that will impact performance and efficiencies and deliver world-class service to internal and external customers in a continuous improvement culture.
* Create, execute and administer programs and procedures for preventative maintenance, lease programs, and unplanned maintenance of warehouse equipment such as Forklifts, Yard Jockeys, Dock Equipment, and Inventory Management Equipment.
* Participate and perform investigations and provide detailed documentation as it pertains to safety incidents, including root causes and corrective actions.
* Execute and enforce regulatory, company and/or plant, procedures, and/or policies.
**Requirements/Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related study.
* At least 2 years experience in warehouse supervision or supervision in a production environment.
* Understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory control, and freight routing.
* Computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
* Strong leadership skills and a highly effective communicator with great time management.
* The ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and/or hours within a seasonal business. Including weekends during our busy season.
* Strong administrative and planning skills.
