A reputable global manufacturer in Macon, GA has an opening for an onsite Warehouse Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone to take charge of improving the existing process and spearhead the initiative to take operations to the next level, with the support of a team of eight people. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced warehouse environment, have a sense of urgency and 3 or more years' experience in logistics and supply chain, warehousing functions, or a similar field. They are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of providing supervisory leadership in a manner that supports the company's corporate mission, culture, and objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in manufacturing or supply chain preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu of education
• 3 or more years' experience in logistics and supply chain, warehousing functions, or similar field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Good grasp of supply chain and inventory
• Experience with MS Office and other relevant computer software applications
• Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities
• Forklift experience preferred but training is available
• Experience with an ERP system required; Oracle preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and ordering\restocking
• Supervise warehousing team, ensure safety protocols are followed
• Spearhead process of operation for maximum efficiency within the plant
• Oversee staff performance and mentor junior associates
• Oversee KPI's to and and create strategies for growth.
• Comply with government standards
• Work with cross-functional departmental groups to movement in a timely manner.
