Warehouse Support, 1st shift - Nahan : Job Details

Description Primary responsibility is to unload, transport, store, record, retrieve, and load all materials throughout the plant in an accurate and efficient manner. Secondary responsibilities will include a combination of back up duties in 2 of the following positions: Distribution/Traffic Clerk, Shipping Clerk, Finished Goods Clerk, Mail Clerk and/or Warehouse I. Provide on the job training to new employees. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Read and understand job tickets, manifests, and production schedule. 2. Operate all warehouse equipment including balers/air system, lift trucks, walkie riders, battery chargers and shrink wrapper in a safe and efficient manner. 3. Receive raw materials, finished goods, work-in-process, and mail according to established process. 4. Responsible to transport, store, accurately record, and retrieve all materials. 5. Accountable for weight verifying of all versions when job completed in production. 6. Complete knowledge of Finished Goods inventory system. 7. Obtain a certified forklift safety license. 8. Load trucks safely and accurately. 9. Provide on the job training to new employees. 10. Complete training for Shipping, Warehouse I, Finished Goods and Mail Material Handler. 11. Complete training for 1 of the following clerk positions: Traffic/Distro Clerk, Shipping Clerk or Mail Clerk. 12. Complete all paperwork and use timekeeping system efficiently 13. Communicate with next shift about status of job(s) and any special instructions. 14. Complete all paperwork and use timekeeping system efficiently. 15. Maintain a clean and organized area/department. 16. Be cooperative, positive, and respectful with leaders, coworkers, and team. 17. Complete other tasks as requested by Leader/Shift Leader. Skills and Experience Required: 1. High School Education or above. 2. Minimum 2 years warehouse and inventory control experience preferred. 3. Forklift experience. 4. Strong leadership skills, self-motivated. 5. Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening) including training. 6. Strong organizational, detail oriented and problem solving skills. 7. Excellent math and computer skills. 8. Good negotiation skills. 9. Good knowledge of postal regulations 10. Physical effort - refer to physical demand analysis. Education and Experience:
