Warehouse Technician - Baton Rouge, LA - Merck & Company : Job Details

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Material Handling:Remove completed pallets of product from production area to shipping warehouse. Follow all established procedures, safety rules, and SOPs for the area. Ensure proper and safe operation of equipment (e.g, pallet jack, stretch wrapper, floor scrubber, etc.). Report any malfunctions to supervisor and/or maintenance supervisor. Maintain empty pallet area in a neat and orderly fashion. Act as safety observer. Maintain housekeeping in all areas responsible for in a neat and orderly fashion. Perform all other duties as assigned. Shipping:Prepare finished product for shipment. Utilize forklift to load pallets of product on trucks or containers. Load trucks properly so as not to overload the truck according to axle capacity. Load containers properly to ensure all pallets are secured and wont move around in the container.
