Salary : $38,372.00 - $46,490.00 Annually Location : Ocean City, MD Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 202100219 Department: Finance - Procurement Opening Date: 09/17/2024 Job SummarySUMMARY - Receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in the Central Warehouse by performing the below listed essential duties. Weekend work and holidays ranging from Memorial Day until Mid-October. Schedule Details
  • Weekend work - every 4th weekend with two days off during the week - only during our summer hours which is from Memorial Day until mid-October.
  • Work holidays ranging from Memorial Day until Mid-October.
  • During off-season, works until 4pm once a month.
Job DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. o Unload trucks: check in merchandise, match purchase orders to sales order, enter receiving record in computer, verify quality, quantity, accuracy of items against what was ordered. o Open bales, crates and other containers. o Determine methods of storage and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space. o Cut stock to size to fill order. o Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code. o Mark identifying stock number, code, figures, or letters on articles. o Print requisitions, pull orders according to stock requisitions, place in holding area, and notify internal customer when order(s) is ready. o Maintain inventory and other stock records. o Perform data entry functions for the inventory and fleet management. o Assist in annual physical inventory. o Maintain and work in a safe and clean work environment. o Wear the proper safety equipment. o Perform courier duties as/if needed. o Prepare material for shipping by weighing, packaging, and preparing necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading either manually or by using computerized shipping systems. o Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. o Basic knowledge of auto parts. o Basic computer skills, researching online for auto parts. o Basic knowledge of inventory levels. Minimum QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Able to type for data entry on computer equipment, operate or learn to operate a forklift, drive truck, and aptitude for interpreting various parts catalogs. Able to communicate proficiently, organized, technically savvy, thorough, and have great time management skills. Supplemental InformationEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education diploma (GED), and one (1) year experience in stock keeping; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions short correspondences, and memos. Able to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, percent, and able to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION: Valid Driver's license. Forklift Operator certification not required but preferred, will train on site.
