We are seeking a dedicated Repair Technician for a 3-month contract position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording and maintaining control of all inventories and miscellaneous items flowing through Receiving, ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Location: Southside Flats (Pittsburgh, PA)
- Hours: M-F 8-5 PM
- Pay: 18/hour
- Duration: 3 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute incoming items to the appropriate personnel.
- Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record any shortages and reject damaged items.
- Count, weigh, or measure items from incoming shipments to verify information against invoices and orders.
- Ensure new items undergo the first article process; account for all inventoried items and replenish via Kanban or reorder techniques; complete quality checks and maintain accurate paperwork daily.
- Perform dock and truck duties, including unloading shipments, removing and disposing of packaging materials, operating forklifts, and stocking items using hand trucks.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies where items received are not documented in the daily receipt log.
- Assist with shipping during periods of increased demand.
- Support receiving efforts for rental and trial items.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to relevant personnel.
- Potential involvement in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management).
- Strong task prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 75-80 lbs occasionally and 35-40 lbs regularly.
- Capability to identify and measure quality-defined standards.
