Position SummaryThis position supports will call activity and assists customers. Candidate will receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAssist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to associates for processingRead customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shippedMove materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areasSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as vendor, size, type, style, color or product codeFill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage areaEnsure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer trafficAssemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping departmentMark materials with identifying information using appropriate methodOpen bales, crates and other containersRecord amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programAssist in counting of physical inventory accuratelyWeigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standardsMay be assigned facilities maintenance duties as neededComplete requisition forms to order supplies from other departmentsPrepare parcels for mailing that are compliant with local, federal and international requirementsSweep, dust, mop and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all timesWear the proper safety equipmentAny other duties as assigned.SAFER CompetenciesSincere and Committed to Customer Service & SafetyAccurate and Productive to Support QualityFearlessly Ethical, Fair and Consistent to ensure Organizational Integrity and Safety ComplianceEmpowered to support engaged growth by ensuring team collaboration, development and motivationReady & Urgent Subject Matter LeaderQualificationsMinimum of a High School Diploma or GED EquivalentMinimum three years industrial or retail warehouse experiencePrevious shipping and receiving experience preferredPrevious warehouse computer software experience.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.The work environment is an open-air warehouse where equal to or greater than outside ambient air temperatures can be experienced.The effective utilization of a computer system and face-to-face conversations to exchange information with internal and external customers is required on a daily basis.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, direct hire position.
