As a Shipping & Receiving associate you will be responsible for all aspects of Shipping/Receiving functions to assure products are received and stored in the warehouse so that all received orders can be filled timely and accurately while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately receive product, count, and sort items by location, product number, and descriptionReconcile packing lists in a timely mannerStore items on shelves, according to identifying informationPrepare and complete orders for delivery or pickupAssure orders are fulfilled in a timely fashionPrint and sort tickets according to designated area of the warehouse to fulfill orders and match up with packing list and carton shipping labelUtilize tools available (RF Gun and/or Pick Pack Sheet) to efficiently pick customer orders for shipment while assuring correct item and quantity is pickedAudit (random) complete orders to assure 100% qualityMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work areaConduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with company, OSHA, and other applicable regulations to assure a safe workplaceActively seek to develop process/quality improvements and communicate them to leadershipWork as a team to accomplish all productivity goals efficiently and accuratelyOther duties may be assignedWarehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate requirements:Must be reliable and flexible and must be able to arrive at work on time every day and work at a fast pacePrior experience working in warehouse setting strongly desiredBasic computer skills, experience with MS Excel and Warehouse Management systems (WMS) preferredAbility to execute instructions for daily tasks and to read orders accuratelyProactive problem-solving skills to complete basic math computationsHighly organized and strong attention to accuracy and detailAbility to work in fast-paced environment and meet daily productivity standardsExperience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF hand scanners is preferredCapable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, work in a non-climate-controlled environment, and lift up to 60lbs, with or without reasonable accommodationForklift experience preferred, but not requiredMust have reliable transportationBe able to consistently lift 50 LBS.Pass a drug screeningPass a background CheckEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
