What you will be doing (Essential Functions / Responsibilities)

As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, tracking metrics to reduce expenses, negotiating deals, and analyzing major costs with management to ensure EMR's success.

Job Responsibilities may include

  • Review and process purchase orders
  • Work as a team with current VP of Purchasing and VP of Finance
  • Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price
  • Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor supply needs and capital expenditures
  • Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services
  • Maintains records of goods ordered and received
  • Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors
  • Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts
  • Schedule deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders
  • Possible travel to EMR locations to discuss purchasing needs

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply chain management, or logistics preferred
  • Two to five years of experience in purchasing department for an industrial company.
  • Experience using procurement software and databases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
