Under the general direction of the Office Services Manager I (OSM I), the Warehouse Worker is responsible for transporting mailing materials and supplies to and from the Post Office, headquarter buildings, and the department's offsite locations. The incumbent will be responsible for wrapping outgoing packages; palletizing work to be distributed; ensuring all tags are visible for efficient delivery; moving materials and goods for both shipment and distributions; and lifting heavy mailing buckets and trays filled with mailing materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Additionally, the Warehouse Worker will be operating manual and electric pallet jacks and forklift machinery to perform the essential functions of the job; completing physical inventories of all supplies; keeping perpetual and detailed inventory records of the quantities of stock on hand; and investigating and correcting all safety issues to code and reporting these findings to management in writing.
