Warehouseman - Sterling Foods : Job Details

To ensure that general warehouse responsibilities are done by procedures, completed accurately, including order pulling, order filling, quality control, and shipping and receiving. Will work closely with the other warehouse staff for receiving of raw goods and inventory purposes. DUTIES Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments. Prepares and maintains documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials Shipping (packaging and loading) and receiving (unpacking and unloading) of material from customers, vendors or other offices Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment or load, unload, transport and store goods. QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or equivalent Schedule is Thursday to Tuesday, however must be available for full-time (40 hour) work week. Hours - 4pm to 12 midnight. Must be available for overtime work when necessary Must be able to access, input and retrieve data from database Good written and oral communication skills Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Standing for long periods of time Pushing/pulling objects (e.g. handcarts) Operatorate a Forlift (certified)
