POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • The ability and willingness to learn operation of dirt heavy equipment.
  • Provide pictures, videos, inspections, technical support, and demonstrations as requested
  • Organizing, responsible and excellent eye for detail such as equipment detailing, preparation and inspection for listing
  • Effectively use a variety of equipment, cleaner, and polishes
  • Communicate with Sales Controller daily regarding activities, opportunities, issues, and solutions. Follow through on any plan for any situation that occurs to assure customer needs are met
  • Responsible for Nichols Equipment painting, repairs or refinishes on equipment and machines in accordance with factory specifications (unless customized to customer specifications) using hand tools and power tools.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing a safe work environment and take an active role in a safe work environment
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures found in employee handbook
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Vacuums floors and seats
  • Cleans out cup holders
  • Condition vinyl and leather
  • Cleans all trash, debris and dirt from the interior of the machine
  • Polishes dash, steering wheel, trims and molding inside the vehicle.
  • Waxes and buffs machines after washing (if applicable)
  • Cleans doorframes and instrument panels
  • Cleans all dirt, grease and tar from the exterior of the machine. Removes grease from engine and other parts under the hood
  • Reconditions the machines exterior
  • Cleans all glass on the machine, inside and out, with the appropriate type of rag and cleaning solution
  • Cleans all mirrors with the proper substance
  • Applies chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains
  • Uses various paints, waxes and dyes to protect the parts of the machine interior
  • Dries floor mats
  • Cleans the headlights, brake lights and taillights making them brighter
  • Fixes minor scratches and chips with touch up machine paint

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum high school/GED education; prefer one-year heavy equipment sales experience or administrative support role in similar work environment
  • Preferred previous knowledge in industrial, construction or heavy equipment retail or rental sales
  • Must have computer skills; required software data entry, Microsoft Office
  • Must have technical skills; required camera/video, website management, database management
  • Must be people-oriented, aggressive, sales-driven, and team player
  • Must be self-disciplined
  • Good eye for detail
  • Must possess excellent customer service
  • Must be flexible and highly organized
  • Must be honest, respectful and trustworthy and demonstrate sound work ethics
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exhibit a cheerful presence and teamwork skills
  • Must pass background check at time of hire

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
