Waste Management Operator - Public ServicesMt Pleasant, SC, USA Req #529Thursday, November 14, 2024JOB SUMMARYThe Waste Management Operator is responsible for the operation of heavy equipment in support of division activities including collecting and hauling construction and vegetative debris.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Operates scow trucks and other department heavy trucks/equipment to haul rock, dirt, refuse and/or trash in support of department activitiesPerforms basic and routine light maintenance on heavy equipmentSafely operate heavy equipment while in close proximity to vehicles, structures, and peopleCollects garbage and trash throughout the town in a safe and efficient mannerRepresents the Town and interacts with the public on a daily basisPerforms other duties as assigned that relate to Construction and Demolition (C&D) or Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)Performs other duties as requiredMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year prior work experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceValid South Carolina Driver's LicenseCommercial Driver's License#J-18808-Ljbffr
